Pol was a boy born in a town known for its academically-inclined community – Los Baños, Laguna. His father was a UP Professor and his mother was a housewife. They were and are still residing in his father’s home city – San Pablo City.
Pol received his primary education at a respectable private school in San Pablo City and was among the average students of his batch.
Since times were bleak, and with a meager salary from the university, his father enrolled him in a state-run high school just a walking distance from their home. He became a happy-go-lucky student while in high school. He crammed just like the majority of his classmates. He did not have any decent study habit at all.
