UPDATE (June 8, 2015): UP has released the schedule of the UPCAT
It’s now official. There will be an UPCAT this year 2015 (READ: Is there an UPCAT this year? A Free Report).
The University of the Philippines Admission Office has confirmed that the UPCAT will be held this year. However, as of now, there are no dates yet on the schedule.
According to UP’s official Facebook page, the Office of Admissions notified the System information Office regarding the announcement.
Application forms for the UPCAT will be available online between the 1st and 2nd week of June.
With this development, however, parents and students are asking, “Who will be allowed to take the exam?” We know for a fact that the Department of Education (DepEd) is currently in the process of implementing the K to 12 curriculum. A number of schools are already adapting the new curriculum and their students are expected to have additional two years before they graduate.
